Okay, I seriously have no idea where I got this meme from. I want to say I stumbled upon it while book-blogging-stalking, or it must have been someone new I followed today, but anyway. I guess it doesn’t matter. I found a new book blog in which to follow! 🙂
In my old book blogs, I tried so hard to be current with the book memes and try to participate but I failed every single time. I’m not too sure why, but I could never get on board with them. This one caught my eye and I thought I would participate in these weekly, or at least if the question was interesting enough. Because I saw this today, I am little late, but it starts every Friday and ends the following Thursday. So here goes:
Book Blogger Hop
About Book Blogger Hop
BOOK BLOGGER HOP is hosted by Billy at Ramblings From A Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog. This week’s question was submitted by Elizabeth from Silver’s Reviews.
Question for week of 2/17-2/23: CAN YOU READ AND WATCH TV OR LISTEN TO THE RADIO AT THE SAME TIME?
In short, yes. As far as TV/Reading, it depends on what I’m
watching. For example, if I’m watching the same kids movie for the billionth time, safe to say I’ll catch up some reading. Or any other television show designed for my children, my face will be in a book whilst keeping an eye on them. Or if my bf is playing video games, or watching a movie I’m not interested in watching, you’ll catch me reading. And even during sports games or shows. Like preseason football games or basketball games early in the season, or anything on ESPN or NFL Network, I’ll have that on just as background noise. So yeah, safe to say I am able to read and watch TV. But the radio is a different beast. I’ve tried, but it’s hard for me to focus if I have music on. Maybe some jazz or classical music but that’s rare.
See, I grew up in a chaotic home environment. I’m used to being surrounded by loud noises and being constantly interrupted. It doesn’t phase me in the least. I can zone out when I want to. I can’t do that as often as I used to, of course, but when my brain needs a break, I’ll just block everything out for a few minutes.
But tell me: can YOU read and watch TV or listen to the radio at the same time?
